Gooroo Gold
District-scale gold and base metal exploration within the Yilgarn Craton of Western Australia.
Strategic Gold and Base Metal Opportunity in the Yilgarn Craton
Located in the Yalgoo Shire of Western Australia’s South Murchison District, the Gooroo Gold Project comprises a granted Exploration Licence (E59/2512) covering approximately 150 km².
The project is situated approximately 400km north of Perth within the highly prospective Archaean Yilgarn Craton and the Gullewa Greenstone Belt, a region known for hosting significant gold and base metal mineralisation. The project is considered prospective for both Archean gold mineralisation and Volcanic Massive Sulphide (VMS) deposits.

One granted Exploration Licence (E59/2512)
Approximately 150 km² project area
Positioned within a region hosting multiple gold and base metal discoveries
Supported by updated GSWA geological interpretation
Prospective for Archean gold and VMS mineralisation
Potentially hosts ~26km of unexplored greenstone belt
Expanded Greenstone Potential Identified
In 2020, the Geological Survey of Western Australia released an updated interpretation of the State’s bedrock geology, including a revised geological model for the southern margin of the Gullewa Greenstone Belt.
This reinterpretation suggests the key greenstone-granite contact extends approximately 4–5km further south than previously recognised, directly into Cooper Metals’ tenure.
The updated geological model significantly enhances the prospectivity of the project area and highlights the potential for previously unrecognised mineralised greenstone sequences within the tenement package.
